About the event
This three-day intensive clinic is designed to lay the true foundation for a confident, willing, and balanced first ride—by prioritizing communication, nervous system regulation, and meaningful dialogue between horse and handler.
Rather than rushing to “get on,” this clinic focuses on preparing the mind and body of the young horse so that the first ride is a natural progression of understanding, not a moment of tolerance or survival.
Participants will learn how to develop a calm, connected partnership by working with the horse’s nervous system—establishing safety, clarity, and trust through presence, awareness, and timing. The emphasis is on creating a two-way conversation where the horse feels seen, understood, and ready to engage.
Key Focus Areas Include:
Establishing foundational principles of communication and connection
Developing basic cues that are clear, fair, and easy for the horse to understand
